REGROUTING
Regrouting is an important part of tiled floor and wall maintenance, particularly where existing grout has become cracked, loose, stained or damaged over time. Grout plays an important role in supporting and protecting tiled surfaces, helping to prevent moisture and dirt from penetrating into the joints between tiles.
Over time, grout can deteriorate through general wear, movement, moisture and repeated cleaning. Damaged or missing grout can affect the overall appearance of a tiled surface and, in areas exposed to water, may allow moisture to reach the underlying surface. Simply cleaning heavily damaged grout may not always be enough, making removal and replacement the more appropriate solution.
Professional regrouting involves carefully removing the existing grout before thoroughly preparing and cleaning the joints and applying new grout. The correct grout can then be selected to suit the tiles, location and expected use, providing a clean, consistent finish while helping to restore the appearance and performance of the tiled surface.
